Because my pond was was made from sloped rocks I couldn't place the feeder on the perimeter, so I install this feeder the small stream feeding my main pond. Programming is very versatile, I feed three small feedings a day. My fish feed in the morning better, so I program two single feeding 15 minutes apart, so the food doesn't get pulled into the skimmer before the fish eat it. The feeder worked well although I did not like it exposed. After the racoons found it, I decided to put a box around it. While making the box, I decided to make the box into a fishing cabin. The building slips over the feeder which is mounted to a 2X10 board extending over the creek. Since enclosing the feeder it has worked very well. I did have a small issue and customer service was the best the best I had. I use Kaytee Koi's choice pellets. Below is the feeder as it was originally installed (unprotected), and a couple of photo's of the fishing shack cover.

Great feeder for our indoor pond. It is so easy to set up and distributes a consistent amount of food quietly. Love that it uses regular batteries. However, I can see that it may have issues outside in the elements. But for our pond it is the best feeder we have ever used.
