These new freezable gel packs fit in the narrow bottom of the previously non-freezable single-serve automatic wet/dry pet food server. It has worked as advertised so far, however I also chill the wet food and the optional stainless insert. Our cat adapted to the new server instantly. I place wet food in the device 7-9 hours before feeding, and, as far as I know, the food is fresh at breakfast time. The arrangement keeps her from waking me ever-earlier. The system could be improved with a bell or sound upon opening (I place a few round bells atop the lid to sound the call to grub). The analog 12-hour timer is accurate enough for the price, but a digital option would be appreciated. All in all, a good choice for a bit more shuteye.
