Elite Microchip Cat Flap with Timer Control :White (355W)

Best on the market! Cats wear breakaway collars, so having it read their internal microchip is priceless

Works like a charm! Neighborhood cats stay out, my own come in. No problem reading their implanted chips.

A little confusing

These were easy to install after I cut the hole in our door. It works fairly well once our cat learned to wait for the sound of the lock releasing. Cats pretty much have to push it with their heads. The instructions on programming could be better. One direction seems easier for the lock to open than the other even though I have both ways open. Hopefully our older cat will take it up as easy as the young one. One last note is that the flap comes down quickly after they go through. It seems to land on his tail and I'm not sure if it bothers him or not.

Freedom for Kitty

Works very well. Nice to have a timed feature to curfew our kitty for the night. Although she sometimes wakes us up by banging on the flap before the set time to open. The door was fairly easy to install except for the added draft seal required in paneled door. Once in a while it seems to get stuck and won't let the cat in using her chip. Pushing the flap from the inside seems to get it going again. This is infrequent but annoying. The biggest issue so far has been the free access it gives her to bring in all sorts of critters from outside including bunnies, birds, chipmunks and mice which we have to capture and release back outdoors. Needs a critter detector.

Nice store that fits larger cats

Really nice door. First we ordered another door made by another company but it was just so small. This one is much bigger and fits our large cats. One is about 20 pounds and the other is about 17 pounds. Our smaller cats fit through it easily also. I was afraid of the tunnel being too long for our smaller cat but she gets through just fine too. The locking and unlocking is pretty loud. Some of our cats use it all the time and some just use it when they absolutely have to. I think eventually they will all get used to the sound. But it is pretty loud and jarring
