Works as intended but batteries are a problem.

My mibowl uses up batteries every 2-3 weeks. Without rechargeable batteries, this get very expensive.

I wish that this just had a cord that I could plug into the Wal....

Food thief THWARTED! BWAHAHA!!!

Summary: $200 to prevent cat obesity and let other cat not starve is a great deal! Works exactly as described!

So I only found one other somewhat comparable product and the reviews seemed to say it wasn't as good for sneaky pets (they can get food out of the back), so I went with this one for maybe $50 more. MY FAT A$$ CAT THAT STEALS ALL THE FOOD HAS GOTTEN NO FOOD OUT OF THIS!!! BWAHAHA!!! She's actually looking not pregnant (that's how fat she was) and didn't even bother looking at this bowl after the first 2 days. The other cat, despite being skittish and shy, adjusted to this bowl almost immediately and seems to enjoy his peace of mind knowing SOMEONE isn't hogging all the food lol. Having to use C batteries instead of plugging in could be a con or a pro depending on how you look at it. I got some rechargeable C batteries. Apparently the batteries only need to be recharged/replaced every 6 months so that's not bad at all! It works great with no issues, exactly as described. The only thing that could be seen as a "flaw" is I notice my cat can't/won't get the food around the edges of the bowl. Maybe he can't reach? Not sure but not a big deal. I use dry food but it would be a bigger deal with wet food I think.
