I've had the same doggy window for 20 years and the flap just broke off. That's lots of coming and going especially for 2 dogs now. It is obviously durable and made of quality materials. It sits very stable inside the window sill, securely. Can be "closed". And I've never had another critter crawl in the house. Just the in and out of my babies for the last 20 plus years. VERY happy wil this product!!!!
